What Does It Cost?

A new purpose-built ship could cost up to 120 million Euros! By purchasing an excellent second-hand vessel, purchase, redesign and outfitting have been covered at at a much lower cost. The project budget reflects a total cost of €28.5 million (approximately US$39 million, £19.3 million), broken down into separate sections in the table below. This is a significant amount of money to raise – in fact, it is the largest financial project that OM has undertaken!

Includes ship purchase, legal fees, naval architect, and related travel.

Includes port fees, utilities, fuel bunkers, insurance, and maintenance.

Includes shipyard fees, owners works, vessel relocation, and travel/living expenses for on-site team.

Since we began the Logos Hope Project in 2001, we have seen God provide in many ways, and we are grateful for all the financial provision which has carried the Project this far, while at the same time maintaining the ministry of Doulos and Logos II. We have at this point received over 80% of the required costs!
